Giulia Caira, Giuliana Cunéaz, Mariela Gemisheva, Carlo Gloria, An artist videos group exhibition that runs through the gallery's activity again By Giuliana Cunéaz (1959, Aosta) is presented I mangiatori di patate (The Potato Eaters, 2005, 7’) that is inspired by the famous painting by Vincent Van Gogh (1885). The artist turns the parameters of the work inside out, while preserving its content, as well as the alienating indifference that characterizes the picture’s context. The video unfolds while the simple, primary gesture of real characters captured in the act of eating potatoes is projected into a completely artificial context, created with the 3D technique and the hybridization of nanotechnologies.
