In Giuliana Cunéaz’s work the interpretation of the visible and the invisible (or perhaps it would be truer to say the “made visible”, if one thinks specifically of nanostructures) opens up a series of visions that are dizzying, hence “recognizable” by our minds, where memory has settled. What really makes this vision disquieting is the hybridisation between technology and tangible matter. In this way an imaginative gap is created foreshadowing the construction of worlds populated by partially recognisable objects and forms whose use is partly unknown.
